I love this mother daughter photo. I hope that one day i can still look stylish and not over the hill, trying to hard. Some days I wish I had a daughter to go shopping with me. I have a feeling my son would not be thrilled if I dressed him up like this.

Strangest things happen in the bathroom

The other day I walked into the bathroom, picked a stall and proceeded about my business. As I entered the bathroom I heard someone talking, no big deal, women talk in the bathroom all the time about nothing and everything. This crazy chick was talking on her cell phone, in a stall, going about her business! WTF? I mean toilets are flushing and tinkling is happening and she is all “…blah, blah, blah…”
I just can’t talk to people while I do that. I love to share my thoughts and experiences but not all of them!!
Do you talk on the phone while peeing? Am I crazy?

Let me tell you about another little instance….
I was in the stall, just pulled my pants down and my change fell out of my pocket. I was hovering and holding my pants with one hand while I reached for the TP with the other and thought that I would pick up the change after a good wipe and not while hovering mid stream. Before I could finish, the chick in the next stall reached under her stall and over to mine and swiped my change! WTF? Hello? Do you not see that this is my change…in my stall…on my section of stall floor!

I did not know what to say or do! I was a bit shocked and I all I could think of was Seinfeld! Should I have asked for my change back? Should I have stepped on her hand? Even though that may have upset my hover stance and I quite possibly risk peeing on myself.

I often visit a site called fahion toast by Rumi. She is this gorgeous young woman with an outstanding eye for fashion an style. She has a look all of her own and even has her own ebay store Treasure Chest Vintage.

So while checking her latest outfits and pics, she had some images of a friend, Kristin. I just fell in love with Kristins hair. I love how its almost white. Its amazing. I doubt that I could get away with that look but I would love to try it for a moment. Oh, and Kristin has her own blog too, Bleach Black.

Shooties, Booties, ankle boots whatevs

I have been wanting to grab a pair of booties for a while now and was going back and forth between a boot that came a bit above the ankle or one that came just at or below the ankle. Its a huge decision, I know. I was thinking that if I wear leggings, while a boot that sits below the ankle cover the legging? Or if I get a boot that is above the ankle, will it shorten the illusion of a longer leg? Decisions, decisions….

I did finally settle on a cute pair from www.piperlime.com. What do you think? I should get them today so I will post some pics for ya later.

Skinny enough for skinny jeans?

I love the look of skinny jeans. At first I was not on board with the trend. I thought back to the 80′s and early 90′s where acid washed jeans with the little zip at the bottom was what everyone was wearing. Then came the pegged pant leg look which sort of continued that look (in a way I guess).

Its like when you look back to photos of yourself and friends and say to yourself “what in the hell were we thinkin?” But the look has transformed into this sexy modern look and I like it. I want to wear that look. But, one fear…..it looks great on the 25 and under crowd with not an ounce of fat on their body and no hips yet. But what about the rest of america that has hips and booty? Can we wear it too? Or do we look like stuffed sausages with tree trunk legs and cankles? So is there like a hip to ankle ratio that you should be? Is there a guideline to go by? A best practice? Is there an age limit to these too? Or will i look like that crazy lady who has not come to terms with her age? I dont want my friends to secretly submit me to “What not to wear.”
