the day before

So glad that I got the Sundance Channel. I discovered the series “The Day Before” and I am so enthralled. Read below:

“…documentarian Loic Prigent unveiled rare and refreshing glimpses behind the doors of some of the world’s leading fashion houses. In this four-part documentary series, Prigent chronicles the final 36 hours prior to crucial seasonal runway shows featuring creations by some of the fashion world’s leading designers.”

I caught the Sonia Rykiel episode and I am just left drooling. I want so bad to be a part of it. Even if I was the little peon who was treated worse than a maggot on shit, I would wear a smile on my face for the rest of my life!

oh the times, they are a changin’

I know I have had a lack of posts recently and felt that my blog needed to take a backseat to my real life for a while. So many changes go on in ones life and some are for the better and some are for the worst. I like to take those changes that seem that they’re for the worst and bring something good out of them. One wise woman said to me in life that if you cant laugh your way through things, then you’re doomed, poor girl, doomed. So I have my humor and look at things with my humor in hand; burst of laughter ready at the go.
Soooo. With change comes more change! At this new state of change that has emerged, I feel the need to change my surroundings. I want to update the interior of my home. Make it my own.
I bought my house about 5 years ago and feel it needs a change as well. So heres a bit of what I am thinking about:

for all you baby mommas

I have to tell you guys about this blog, Pacing the Panic Room. Its precious. This dude is married to this gorgeously pregnant woman and he blogs about his life, the baby, his step child, and takes weekly pics of his wife thru her pregnancy and finishes it off with a note to the bambino.
The guy knocks my socks off. I love his photography and his just reading his thoughts. His wife, Cole, also wears a lot of America Apparel which is so great for basics. But she would look good in anything. I swear! Check out LB, Cole’s first bambino. How much do you wanna squeeze him, he’s so cute!!
I wish I would have done this with my pregs but didnt know enough the first time and too disgusted with my body the second.

3.1 Phillip Lim

Some of the looks I wasnt so grand on, the very retro burnt sienna pant suit just wasnt sitting well with me. The below shots are the ones I liked, it has a very vintage art deco feel to it. I like. I also love some of the animal print shoes thrown in.

BURFITT

I really like this line. The photography is amazing. It is foreboding yet draws you in. I recently finished reading Water for Elephants about one mans life with the circus. The imagry for BURFITT reminds me of this book. It conjures images of eccentric people, lavish fabrics, flourished settings… slicked hair, top hats, spiced rum.
